Bellingham, WA Addiction Rehab and Recovery Resources

Alcohol and Drug Rehab Resources in the Bellingham, Washington Area

The Bellingham, WA area is very close to several drug and alcohol rehabs, and other addiction recovery resources are available as well. For those who struggle with substance abuse, they often continue using because they just do not know how to stop. We would like to take this opportunity to provide information about their recovery options.

Substance abuse statistics indicate that the number of people who are addicted has risen dramatically in the last few years. That is true all over the country. And yet, a lot of people do not get the help they need to recover.

There are so many ways in which people can stop using. They can go to Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous meetings. They can opt for professional treatment through drug or alcohol rehab. There are even ways for families to get help through Al-Anon and Alateen.

We felt it was necessary to share about all of these resources with anyone who needs this information. Please note that we are not affiliated with these organizations.

Who Should Consider Going to Drug and Alcohol Rehab?

Although AA and NA certainly have their place, and they can be effective, sometimes people need additional help. There really is no substitute for a professional approach when it comes to treating addictions.

It may be better for someone who is new to recovery by starting with professional treatment. At that point, they may not have the coping skills that are necessary to stop using and stay sober or clean. Also, it is possible that they may need to go through detox, which will only help with the recovery process.

Recovering from an addiction can be really difficult. Peer support can be helpful, but therapy is often necessary to determine the cause of the addiction and provide treatment.

How Many Addiction Treatment Centers are Located in Bellingham?

The SAMHSA treatment locator tool indicates that there are eight substance abuse treatment programs in the Bellingham area. There are a total of 21 within a 25-mile radius of the city.

These programs are all very different. Some are state and county programs and others are private. There are those that offer detoxification services, as well as inpatient and outpatient treatment programs.

Anyone considering going to rehab should talk with a professional to determine the best option for them. They need to make sure they get the right level of care that will help them meet their goals in recovery.

About Our Outpatient Rehab Program

At Ashwood Recovery, we offer an excellent outpatient treatment program for anyone with an addiction. We recognize the fact that everyone deals with addictions differently, and they need a personalized approach to recovery. That is why we offer different levels of care for our clients.

Our outpatient rehab is more traditional, and typically, it works well for those who have gone through a higher level of care first. We also have our intensive outpatient program and partial hospitalization. These are both on par with what people experience when they go through an inpatient rehab.

Additional Options for Outpatient Treatment

We also offer two other outpatient treatment facilities, and they are both located in Washington State. Northpoint Seattle has is located in Seattle.

Information for Those Seeking Inpatient Treatment Near Bellingham

Most people opt for outpatient rehab because they do not want to enter into an inpatient program. But the reality is that there are those who need the higher level of care that an inpatient treatment facility can provide to them.

Our inpatient addiction treatment center is Northpoint Washington, which is located in Edmonds. They offer many services to help meet the needs of their patients, including:

Inpatient programs offer people an excellent foundation upon which they can build their recoveries. Many of those who choose to attend this type of program do so because recovering at home is not the best option. They may have family members who use, or their home environment might not be safe. For some, they could have a history of relapsing, so they need to get treatment in a place where that would not be possible.

Does Insurance Pay for Addiction Treatment?

In the United States, health insurance companies are required by law to provide benefits to help cover the costs of addiction treatment. That includes both detox and rehab.

At Ashwood Recovery, we are proud to be in-network with some of the biggest insurance providers in Idaho. We are in-network with Blue Cross of Idaho and many others. Our goal is to provide the best possible care while relieving our patients of any worries about their finances.

Our Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Center

Ashwood Recovery is located just under eight hours away from Bellingham, Washington both by plane and by car. The reality is that a lot of people need to get away from home in order to focus on recovering from an addiction. This might be the case for you as well.

Our Closest Outpatient Location:

Our Closest Inpatient Location:

While treatment is not the right option for everyone, the same can be said for AA or NA meetings. It is so important for each person to decide what will work best for them. For a lot of people, that means going to a rehabilitation program like ours at Ashwood Recovery.

Our intensive outpatient treatment program is one of the best ones in the region. We also offer a host of other services as well. We can provide referrals for long-term care. We also treat eating disorders and provide trauma therapy.

No one should ever feel like they are imprisoned to their addictions. And yet, that is exactly how a lot of people live their lives. The right support can make such a difference.
