Drug and Alcohol Rehab in the Post Falls, Idaho Area

If you are looking to finally find relief from an out-of-control addiction to drugs or alcohol, rehab is definitely going to be the place you want to begin. Rehab is a structured form of therapy, and requires an intense commitment to complete successfully. The skills and tools needed to make your sobriety a lifelong achievement are learned at rehab, well enough that they continue to make an impact even when rehab is done. These assets, combined with support groups like AA or NA, are the best ways to ensure you stay away from drink or drugs in the long term.

Which is Better for my Addiction, Outpatient or Inpatient Rehab?

Rehab programs come in two primary types, outpatient and inpatient. This is the first, and one of the most important, variables when you decide which alcohol or drug rehab program you want to attend. Much of this decision is based on your personal lifestyle and obligations. How intense and serious your addiction is is another important thing to consider. Because you want to make sure to maximize the success of your recovery efforts, this choice is an important one.

There are many reasons why a person would want to attend an outpatient rehab program for drug or alcohol addiction. If you have a less severe addiction, the more loose makeup of an outpatient program may be what you need. If you are unable to be away from home each night, outpatient is also probably the best choice. Outpatient drug and alcohol rehab is held on set times each week, and the schedule is defined when the program begins.

If you feel there is any chance that you may slip up during an outpatient program, it is best to attend an inpatient rehab program. Living at the facility means much less freedom to get yourself in trouble, as well as the potential to find yourself alone when cravings strike. Having professionals around at all times of the day is an important part of many addicts' recovery. Willpower is a difficult thing to summon when dealing with the hellish nature of a drug or alcohol addiction.

Drug and Alcohol Rehab Facilities in Post Falls, Idaho

There are only two rehab facilities located directly in the city of Post Falls. Both of these centers specialize in treating drug disorders and include many forms of therapy to that end. Both addiction treatment facilities are outpatient in nature, with the frequency and intensity dependent on the substance being abused and how bad the addiction is.

Ashwood Recovery

If you have the capacity to travel outside of Post Falls for your drug or alcohol addiction treatment, Ashwood Recovery is an excellent organization to consider. Our facility is located at Boise, Idaho. We offer treatment programs for addiction itself, as well as for co-occurring disorder, or dual diagnosis.

We offer standard and intensive outpatient treatment at both our Nampa and Boise facilities, as well as a partial hospital program. We take an individualized approach with all of our patients, and develop a treatment program for each unique addiction. These treatment programs are full of helpful types of therapy, including family therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and individual and group sessions.

Northpoint Recovery

If you have decided to attend an inpatient facility, Northpoint Recovery is one of the best choices in the Post Falls area you can consider. While the facility itself is located in Boise, it is still well within the reach of anyone with a serious desire to quit drinking or taking drugs. Our four-week program starts out with a detox phase, which usually lasts around a week. Following the completion of this stage, the remaining weeks are dedicated to making sure you can continue your sobriety once you leave the facility.

There are many types of therapy offered at Northpoint Recovery, each of which is an integral part of how we treat drug and alcohol addiction. These include standard therapy sessions, both the individual and group styles. Holistic treatment, family therapy and CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) are just a few other approaches we take to your addiction recovery.

Ashwood Recovery

Health Insurance

Health insurance is the most prominent form of payment for drug and alcohol rehab. Because the process is costly, paying out-of-pocket is prohibitive to most people seeking relief from their addiction. Ashwood Recovery and Northpoint Recovery have answered this need by accepting most major plans and carriers. This now includes Blue Cross of Idaho, one of the most popular insurance carriers in the state of Idaho.
