Outpatient rehab programs are non-residential. Patients don’t live in the treatment center itself. Instead, they live at their own residence and commute to the rehab center.
Some outpatient programs require only a few weekly hours of treatment. However, others require more time. Programas ambulatorio intensivo involve between 20 and 40 hours of treatment each week.
These programs are great for addicts who work or attend school. They’re also good for addicts who can’t afford to leave their families for inpatient treatment. Intensive outpatient rehab programs offer the same benefits as inpatient programs. However, they give patients time to tend to their outside responsibilities.
