Drug and Alcohol Addiction Recovery Resources in the Payette, Idaho Area

The Payette, ID area offers many options to people who are searching for alcohol and drug addiction recovery resources. Many will choose to go to treatment, which is often the best solution. But there is no denying that it is not the right one for every person.

Both Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous have been instrumental in the lives of many recovering addicts and alcoholics. Families can also find support through Al-Anon and Alateen.

We are not affiliated with these programs in any way, but we have seen how they have worked in people’s lives. We felt it was important to include them here in our guide to addiction recovery resources in the Payette area.

Reasons to Choose Addiction Treatment for Recovery

Even though AA and NA meetings can be helpful, they may not offer enough support for someone who is new to recovery. So many people think that they will work for them, but they really need to begin with a higher level of care.

The right drug rehab can make a world of difference in a person’s life. It can help them to identify what it was that led to the addiction so they can heal from it properly. This, in turn, gives them a better chance of long-term success.

Drug and Alcohol Treatment Options

There are many different options available for addiction treatment programs. Some people prefer inpatient rehab, whereas others appreciate having an outpatient option because of their need for flexibility.

There are certain types of drugs that require people to go through the detoxification process. This is because stopping them abruptly can be very dangerous, and even lead to possible complications. Alcohol is an excellent example.

Alcoholics are often required to go through alcohol detox prior to starting rehab. This is because they could experience dangerous alcohol withdrawal symptoms called delirium tremens, or DTs. DTs can be fatal if left untreated.

Complications can occur when stopping the use of other types of drugs as well, such as opioids, stimulants and benzodiazepines. The detoxification process helps to rid the body of those harmful toxins. It can treat withdrawal symptoms and eliminate many of them altogether. Overall, people who go through detox have a much better chance at being successful long-term.

Rehab is the next step in the recovery process. During the rehabilitation program, people will work with a therapist in a one-on-one setting. They usually also participate in group therapy, as well as receive other forms of treatment as well.

If a person is struggling with a co-occurring disorder, it will be identified and treated during rehab. Quite often, people self-medicate the symptoms of mental health conditions with drugs or alcohol. They are surprised to find that their condition has contributed to their substance abuse problem. Dual diagnosis treatment is needed to address co-occurring disorders.

Is Outpatient Rehab Right For You?

For many people, outpatient rehab is the best option they have. They need flexibility, and they need a program that will allow them to continue to live at home.

At Ashwood Recovery, our outpatient program is among the best in the state. It includes traditional outpatient treatment, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and partial hospitalization options.

Our Closest Addiction Treatment Facility

Our closest alcohol and drug treatment facility to the Payette area is Ashwood Recovery Nampa. It is located just 45 minutes away from the city, and it offers a convenient way to find a quality outpatient program.
